HYBA Shoe Drive

HYBA is currently conducting a basketball shoe drive thru the end of the year.  We have bins set up in the office of the Hutchinson Middle School, Park Elementary, and Tiger Elementary.  We also have a bin set up near the lost and found at the Fairgrounds.  We are looking for gently used shoes that another kid would still get some use out of.  Please have your child bring them to school between now and the end of school.  Or, a parent is able to drop them off at one of the locations listed.  Please, only donate those shoes that you feel another kid would be able to use.

We will have a time before the beginning of the season next year for you to grab a pair of shoes if needed.

Thanks for supporting HYBA and youth basketball!

2022 HYBA Offseason Skills & Drills Program

<The 2022 Skills & Drills Program Has Concluded, for information purposes only>

This summer, the Hutch Youth Basketball Association (HYBA) is offering a new off-season skills development program called the 'HYBA Skills & Drills Program

How does it work? Participating players will track their minutes invested shooting and dribbling, AND will also get credit for: doing a daily skills challenge, going to basketball camps, playing a non-basketball sport (baseball, softball, LAX, etc.) in the summer, and performing community volunteer service (you choose who you wish to help).

* to create your own digital tracking sheet, click to open the template, then click "File > Make a Copy" and save a version to your Google Drive. From there you can enter your minutes directly into the Tracking tab.

Who? Hutch school students entering 2nd through 8th grade in the 2022-23 school year.

Why?  “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”
~Tim Notke, high school basketball coach, requoted by NBA player, Kevin Durant

Hutch Basketball NEEDS to develop hard-working, talented players. This program is a great opportunity for your kid to get outside to get some fresh air, enhance their like/love of the game of basketball, work towards a reachable goal and to build their confidence and their character in the process.

When? The program runs this summer, starting May 29th through August 27th

Please register for the Skills Program through this link (note: you will NOT find the link on the PRCE website. Please register NOW and get your player pumped up to participate in the program!)

Thanks!
